For ten years, Haringey Migrant Support Centre has been standing alongside migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Haringey and across London. We offer crucial free advice and support to people who are struggling to secure their right to remain in the UK. Many of our visitors are homeless or destitute. As well as being one of the few services to offer free immigration advice, we work with people to tackle short term financial crisis and to find longer term security.

We have seen many victories in the last year including parents gaining secure status to stay with their children, asylum seekers successfully gaining refugee status with our support, and visitors supported out of street homelessness and destitution. However, the situation for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers is becoming ever more difficult.

We need your help in order to continue our work.

The impacts of the pandemic on HMSC have been far reaching. The pressure on our visitors has only increased with huge Home Office backlogs, squeezes in access to legal aid, worsening homelessness, and the impacts of ten years of the hostile environment set to deepen even further with the introduction of the Nationality and Borders Act.

Throughout the pandemic, we reinvented our services and continued to support people remotely. Our committed and creative staff have done everything in their power to ensure that no one went without the support they need. However, we now face the challenge of recovering from this difficult period and ensuring that HMSC can continue into the future.  We want to see our centre continue to thrive for as long as it is needed, and we need our community to help make that happen.

Can you chip in to keep these vital services running?

We really appreciate however much you can give, big or small! We know that this is a difficult time for many, and any amount that you can chip in will be truly welcomed by HMSC.
