Support Sanctuary Unite Housing Workers on strike: Turnpike Lane stn, 11.30am on Saturday
Posted: July 15, 2022
Join us on Saturday July 16th, meet up at Turnpike lane tube station @11.30amHere are the details of a protest organised by Sanctuary Unite Housing Workers. Although their protest is primarily linked to their conditions of work many of the issues such as overreliance on contractors will resonate with tenants as well.
The protest is likely to be small but interesting as the workers want to march from Turnpike Lane tube station to Sanctaury’s Wood Green Offices. They see this as the start of their campaign for improved pay and conditions. All are welcome, this is the message that we have been circulating amongst members. Please contact me if you require further details:
Dear All
We are proposing to hold a protest outside Sanctuary Offices in Wood Green on Saturday 16th July.
Our salaries are being eaten up by the cost of living crisis, staff are continuously asked to do more and more, contractors are brought in to undermine our work and rents are rising faster than wages. We deserve better and we demand better!
Join us on July 16th, meet up at Turnpike lane tube station @11.30am
– We want a pay rise not a pay cut – 10% now!
– End bullying at Sanctuary now!
– End the more for less culture at Sanctuary.
– Rents rising faster than salaries pushes us into debt. Freeze rent increases now!
– Pay workers not contractors. Insource work on decent wages!
